Personal best bass today

Fished the community lake today for the first time this year. Most years I would have had a month of fishing by now. Anyway I had a great day. I landed my best bass ever. It was about 7 to 8 pounds. I usually fish rabbit strip leaches or streamers with slow retrieves this time of year. Today I fast stripped a Kinky Muddler and they just hammered it. If you haven't tried the Kinky Muddler pattern, you should. It has great action. Mike

Hidden Valley Lake is in Lake County by Middletown, about an hour north east of Santa Rosa
