Are you interested in fly fishing and have questions about the equipment and techniques? How to use it? What’s needed to get started? Want to try fly casting?

California Fly Fishers Unlimited and Fulton-El Camino Parks District invite you to join us for a day of fly fishing instruction and fun. This event is open to beginning fly fishers, or experienced. There will also be events for the kids – fish games and face painting. There is no charge for the event.

Classes will be available for fly fishing basics, fly casting instruction, fly tying, fishing knots, and water safety. Beginning fly tiers will learn to tie a “woolly bugger” fly that can be used for a wide variety of fish.

May 12, 2012, Saturday

A fly fishing equipment swap meet goes from 9 – 11 am, and classes from 10 am to 3 pm. Swap meet sellers must be CFFU members.

The location is Conzelmann Center at Howe Avenue Park, 2201 Cottage Way, Sacramento.

A BBQ Hot Dog lunch, with chips and drink will be $4.

A map and more information are available at www.cffu.org. For more information call Jaden at 916-927-3802 or send me a PM.

Special for Kiene's board members is a session for Tie Flyers.

I just learned that the Swap Meet will actually start at 8:20 am for the early birds who want to get a San Juan worm. Best deals if you come early.
