...on the fly! Cobia (aka lemonfish, ling, general badass), about 10 miles SE of Port Aransas, TX. 22#, pics to follow. Thanks, Brett (Oh yeah, about 8# of filets, and working on fish stock and croquettes right now!)

As mentioned before, here are a few pics of my first cobia "on the fly". We fished my buddy's new Beavertail BTX, and ran about 12 mile SE of Port Aransas. The pass was pretty calm (2:20PM), so we made the run, and were well rewarded for our efforts! Four cobia landed, and three in the box! Thanks, Brett

I love adding new species to the list of caught fish. I hope to do that when I am in Florida next month.

After looking at your pics it hit me, you know how they say dog owners and their dogs look like each other? Well.......... heck I'm "Just saying!!!!!!!" Bustin' your chops of course.

Man you sure have made the most out of your move to TX. Well done for sure.

Nice job on eht lemon fish. They fioght hard and are great eating a little lemon and little garlic. They aren't bad blackened as well. They pull hard and are fun around the rigs. Great catch, Mems.

...everyone. It was good times, and yes they are very tasty! Grilled cobia "collar" tacos last night were awesome. Brett
