Our good buddy Malcom Fea is a birder and photographer and an expert on binoculars having some personally that are over $2,000.
I asked him today what his recomendation is for a reasonably pair of binocualrs that are in a good useful full size...not a compact.
He said the Nikon Monarch series binoculars in 8 x 42 are under $300
Roof Prism, manual focus, 100% Waterproof/Fogproof; Phase-correction coated high index prisms; Fully multicoated lenses for bright, clear images; Ultra rugged, rubber-armored design; Twist-up eyecups for easy viewing; Long eye-relief for eyeglass wearers.
I think I will put a pair on my wish list.....
We don't carry them......
