The fishing on the lower Sac has been very good to excellent especially for larger fish over the last several weeks. It seems the big fat fish are on the bite laltely with fish over 4lbs showing daily and beautiful specimans between 16 and 20 inches are common (see pics and the smiles).

The weather has been unsettled but the flows have remained low (approx3400 cfs) and slightly colored. The best flies have been the olive micro may and the 'Curt's Nest' which is a little self designed caddis imitation with elements of a birds nest, Foxes poopah and Z-wing caddis both in a bead head. Lately the mayflies seem to be showing strong and occasionally a good caster can coach a strike but the dry bite is sporadic at best.

We have seen some incredible bird life lately also, Barrows golden eye, Bufflehead, woodducks, bald eagle, several varieties of heron and we even saw a golden eagle south of the Anderson ramp the other day. River otters are also a common site.

The first pic below is the 'Talking Fish' I didn't get it on video but if you were there you would have heard him say to get up here soon and play with him and his friends. The water is fine!
