Rob,.... Good job!!! The couple should be happy with those. I really am a fan of the black/white photo's. Would really like to see the photo of the two with the door (backdrop) in black/white or sepia.... :D

Hey Rob, good job... Weddings and people are the hardest thing to photograph. In my early years of photography, I was shooting wedding almost every weekend. I got a little experience in photography after flunking out of Cal Poly SLO. I went down the road to SB and attended Brooks Photography school.
After doing my military years, I got back into photography big time. Like you, I did one wedding for a friend and the next thing I know I had others calling me. Way back in the old days, for my group shot, I use to use a 8"x10" Linhoff bellow camera. That size of negatives make great contact prints. I also use to develop my own negatives and do color printing
Like anything else that becomes a full time job, i decided to leave the world of wedding photography. Oh yeah, the worse people weren't the bride and groom but mom and grandma.

Then I got into general photography and took a couple Ansel Adams courses in Yosemite and the big sur coast line, but that's another whole story

keep up the good work

Jay
