Truly, one of the most accomplished, engaging and articulate of all the "modern" spey casters...

God put me in the right place when I was lucky enough to meet him and his buddies, Dec Hogan and Scott O'Donnell on the Skagit in the mid 90's...

I can not place a price on having been lucky enough to be there as I experienced these exceptional men evolving the craft that came to be known as Skagit spey...

Having followed Ed for > 15 years, I have learned to always listen when he speaks- he is not a man to waste words...

Andy Guibord said he was at an industry event once and they had Ed Ward there putting on a demo for Spey casting.

Andy said that Ed ward was one of the finest Spey casters he has ever seen in person.

He said that Ed never made a cast the entire time that was not spot on perfect.....


....and I think Andy knows what he is looking at too.
