Had to be in Redding today, and was fortunate to find the time to go up Tuesday and put in a couple of hours of fishing. Well worth it. The water is off color from the rain, but flows are very low. Wading is easy, even though visibility is less than 2 feet.

Fish don't seem to care about the visibility... 6 fish from 16-21" in two hours is a good result wading the Sac in my experience.

Wish i had had a better camera than my phone along.

The Redding fishing experience has to include a visit to Jack's. The proverbial dive from the outside, but some of the best steaks in California. I've taken a lot friends there over the years and they all love it. Great happy hour!

I'd take that fish per hour ratio any day! And wading to boot!

Thanks for the report...love the way those fish fight.

just out of curiosity where were you wading at?

Just upstream of Sundial Bridge mostly, and then moved just downstream of Benton Road for a while. Caught fish both places. Brown rubberlegs and olive caddis pupa...the usual suspects.
