Versileader sink rates

I am planning on starting to swing streamers and traditional steelhead flies for steelhead on the lower american. I have a sinking rio versileader which I think is 10 feet long and has a 5.6 ips sink rate. I will be connecting it to a 7 weight floating line. I was wondering if anyone with experience with the versileaders on the lower american knows if this is a good sink rate for the river at these flows?
