Up for sale- $50.00 shipped

Rio Skagit Body and tips, new.
350 gr 120' with 27' head.

Rio Sink tips,
15' 8wt Type 6
15' 8wt Type 3

I purched these on a recomendation to discover they are a poor match.
I strugled with this combination perhaps due to being new to spey casting. The rod seemed to strugle with the length and weight. I attended a casting demo by Bill Lowe and matched the setup he was using.
It was recomended to try The Airflo Ridge Floating R-line, Beulah Tonic Switch Shooting Head 410 gr 22.5' and Elixer 380gr 29' with a Rio Spey Versileader Kit 10'.

I have not tried this setup yet I can only hope it works.

Z-Axis 7110-4B
Thanks

This is a great buy.. I'm pretty tempted!

What kind of fishing are you trying to match the Z too? I know that rod a little.. it's a quite powerfull blank. Elixir 6/7 for light touch & go casts w/ small flies [summer steel, etc] Elixir 7/8 might be a better call. For skagits I'd be looking at close to 450gr.. some say more.

Airflo Polys are lighter than the RIO.

Best of luck.. B
