I was wondering if anyone had used the TFO BVK fly rod and if its worth buying for a nymph rod at 9'6 6wt. Any helpful reviews or knowledge about this brand would be appreciated.

I use the BVK 9'6", 6wt on my drift boat. They are an outstanding rod! I would recommend them to anyone. One of the best indicator rods out there!

They are very light weight so that would be a great choice.

They have a 10' #5 - 4 pc too.

Pretty amazing for $250.

In my opinion:

The taper of the BVK isn't all that right for indicator fishing; if you want a rod for that - The Fly Shop, Scott, and Sage, make specialty nymphing rods for that purpose; I have tried them and they do work better for this than most conventional rods. You really need to have the nymphing junk on the rod and be on water to feel the difference, and decide if it's worth it. Some don't like these rods.

The BVK's are excellent nymphing tapers in their longer sizes.
