Was out last weekend on the Upper Sac with a buddy and found the fishing was fair.
Flows were a little high down canyon, the gauge said 1150 CFS,
but since that water was all from melting snow along the canyon,
the upper end of the river in Dunsmuir was in fine shape.
It is a little hard to get to the water in spots, you have to slog thru a 6-8" of
snow in places, but once you get to the water things are fine.
We just fished about 3 hours and hooked up with a 3 or 4 fish each.
Plus one really big one... (see photos at link below)
All fish were taken by nymphing. The winter BWO hatch came off between 1 and 3 PM
No rising fish were seen.
It was a fairly bright day and the hatch was light on the stretch we fished.
Also it was mostly pocket water which does not encourage the fish to rise.

Current temps are cold at night and mild during the day (high 40's low 50's)
flows are down a bit (728 CFS right now), so the river should fish just fine this coming week-end also.
Just keep in mind that there is still a lot of snow on the ground around town and
some of the usual parking areas may not be accessible.
A few pictures of the day can be seen here:
