Which ones are most useful, any ideas?

10-12ft of T-11 in some of the deeper runs has been a good combo.

I'm new to this board and this is my first post here. So, first things first, I'd like to say hello to all my fellow two-handed anglers and I hope to meet a few of you on the American one of these days...

I'm actually headed to the Rio Grande tomorrow morning and the weather forecast is for much-needed rain over the next few days. This could result in the river rising as much as three feet and turning it to chocolate milk. When that happens - and I'm told it can happen anytime during the season - one needs to toss big intruders (into the wind, no less) and 15-18' of T-14, or even T-17, will come in mighty handy. I'm bringing my Burkheimer 7134-4 & 9145-4 with tips up to 18' long. Heck, they don't weigh much and they might just save the day in rough conditions.

I hope I spend most of my time fishing the 7 with a Scandi line...

Thanks for joining in! I also have the Burkie 9145...great rod. You won't be under gunned. Have a good trip and give us a report when you return.
