Had to go to the bank. Yep, living in podunk nowhere, Ive got to go to the "city" for banking. Ive heard of cardinal reports there recently so I brought the camera.

After some back street miandering, I gave up and headed home. Just outside of town I took a wooded sideroad along a frozen river just for kicks. immediately saw something fly across the road. Pulled over and there he was! I hung my speaker out the window and started talking to him with my ipod :-) He stayed close for as long as I wanted. :-) :-)

Wow: I'm almost speechless! Which doesn't happen often; even in my sleep!
This makes my day. They have such a great call, too. I get to see them on my summer visits
to Michigan.
Fished Blacks today. Ugly,storm surf. Picked up a few small perch. Also picked up
a few prints from the Glider Port photog. Hope to get them in the mail soon.

kokanee, Ive got that red/green problem too. These birds are so red tho they are pretty visible for me. When I first spotted this one, I did not see the red, I only saw it was a bird about the right size and shape. I did have a bit of trouble following it thru the trees as it moved because of my color blindness. It was so bright red on my computer screen, I had to desaturate it a bit.
