I was wondering if it is legal to fish the north fork of the middle fork of the american river right now?

Reg's say no fishing east of hiway 49. There are a few exceptions.

I've read that the American river and it's tribs are open to C+R fishing throughout the winter months. Not sure where the regs mention anything about closures east or west of hwy 49??? Might be best not to take anyone's word on this but to double check the regs yourself, but from what I get out of them you should be in the clear.

DFG regs under special regulation waters (4.5) SFA, MFA! And NFA and all tribs above folsom lake open during winter months for c&r.
