I can attest to this. I have two of them. I seem to have become a Redington man over time. I have noticed that when Redington brings out a new model year, they push the previous rods down to the next price point down. I.e. a CPX this model will be the next RS, which will the RedFly, which will become the Crosswater. Thus you are buy a decent rod for decent prices when you buy the CW...just a few years behind the next best thing.
