I will be guiding and instructing swing techniques with spey, switch, or single hand rods this winter on the American River for Steelhead. We will use my boat for transportation. My rates are $170 for one, or $275 for two. Those rates are for an all day trip. I am available any Tuesday and Thursday, and sometimes Mondays and Wednesdays. I can be reached at: guibord765@comcast.net

If you want to learn how to "read the water" for the best places to fly fish on the Lower American River this is a good way to do it.

If you want to learn how to fly fish for Steelhead with a single-hand or two-handed fly rod then this is a great way to get into it.

Andy probably know every inch of the river better than most.

Andy also has a custom built drift boat with a motor.

This is the time for the big winter-run Steelhead that can be 5 to almost 20 pounds. These are Eel River strain fish.

In the spring we will usually have a run of smaller wild Steelhead that run 4 to 6 pounds along with some smaller half-pounders (12 to 16 inches). This is March/April/May depending on the flows.
