I got home from some errands to see a mess of birds in my yard. The winter Waxwings found my berry tree! :-)

Down the hatch...

There were maybe 2 dozen right outside my livingroom window.

This guy gave me the perfect pose. not 5' from the end of my lens.

My neighbor pulled into his driveway and scared them all off :-( Just 2 more months of city livin.

Great photo's (as usual). Those are some beautiful birds. The bird in the last photo looks like he's being very stately (or.... he's constipated  )

Great shots. I see these quite often in Michigan. Once or twice a year in the orange
jubilee tree in my San Diego yard. Beautiful critters. Thank you!
Fished Lake Morena yesterday; did well midge fishing for some nice trout. 60 miles
east of San Diego. Lite winds and temps in the low 70's.
Stay warm back there and best wishes fot the New Year,
Larry S

Thanks guys! With all the berries in their diet, constipation was the least of their problems. LOL. It was raining guano :-)

Larry I would almost kill for some stillwater trout right about now! Quite jealous.

I've been chasing a dream of making a career out of photography these last couple weeks. Ive got ideas spawning idea after idea. I may be able to tap into a market with endless avenues. Spent a couple hours at the chamber of commerce thismorning mulling over it with them. Some really exciting prospects. Stay tuned ;-)

You know, of course, that the Kiene krowd is pulling for you. You have lots of references
out here if they can be helpful.
Looking forward to more shots of your feathered, winter friends.
Best,
Larry S

WOW!!!! A Scarlet Macaw!! Lotsa good Atlantic Salmon fly materials on the hoof. Good lookin' guy, tho.

One of my neighbors has a Blue/Gold Macaw that she allows to fly in the area. If you're standing still when he's around, he'll land on your outstretched arm or on your head. His boss calls and he flies on home. Very cool stuff.... 8)

The bird in the picture is a female Eclectus parrot.
