WOW!!! Seeing a flounder is tough enough but catching one on an all out power dive.... Incredible!!!

I've seen one of those guys catch more fish than me below the Powerhouse riffle. Awesome sight.

I witnessed an Osprey pull a 20+ inch trout from Davis Lake in the spring of 1997. The scene was similar to the last fish taken on the video..... I saw the Osprey land and sit in the water about 30 yards off my bow with its wings extended and in motion. It finally got up in the air but struggled to gain altitude as it came directly at me and I clearly saw the fish's eyes......

I ducked and the fish and Osprey flew overhead......

Digital video or photgraphy wasn't available in 1997 nor was their a way to capture it on film very conveniently......

Later that same season, I caught a typical husky Davis Lake trout with surgically clean symetrical slits/cuts on its back..... I assumed the wounds were from an Osprey, but back then, it could've been teeth marks from a Pike.

Later that fall, we all know what happened at Davis Lake......

I love the "wet dog shake" that those birds do!

Oh my gosh! I didn't realize they would go so deep in the water.

That last scene looks like he is skateboarding (left foot forward) :) on the trout.

Lol. That is some cool stuff.

I've seen osprey on a lot of sierra lakes dive bombing. Too cool.

Wow and double-wow.

I love the slow-motion in the flounder segment where you can see the osprey adjusting his body profile for the power dive and again for the water entry and grab.
