Headed to the North/West side this morning with Kiene's board member Andy S. on the boat. We put in early and putted through the fog for a long slow ride to our first stop. We were lucky enough to find some fish feeding on top so we pulled out the OBS Floater with a small PoleDancer on the end. Andy got hammered on his first cast, a fiesty 4#er, and we thought it was going to be a "Party" but we only got one more hit/miss and the fish were gone. The fog broke a bit and we moved to a new spot. Changed over to 8wts with the newish Rio OBS S6 (nicest casting line that I have ever thrown) on with some clousers on the end. Andy found another small keeper sized striper and a very nice LMB. Made another move and no one was home there so we ate some burritos and made one more move. We found a few more fish including another 4#er that ate right at the boat. Time to head home, we saw a boat that was dunking bait in 34 ft of water and watched them hook,land and kill at least 4 decent sized fish so we tried to get the 9wt sinkers down to try our luck but couldn't get a grab. We are now late and could possibly catch some heat at home. Oh well ! No fishing tomorrow.
