Skunk job. Fished 7-11 this morning, had a few hits, saw a few dark salmon and that's it. Hooked a micro-smolt on a dry olive, but after a 3-second battle, he broke loose despite my powerful switch rod. More wadeable now at 3500 CFS, but wish it was 2000-3000.

we floated it... saw some guides/commercial guys pounding salmon in like 4 boats... we actually hooked one striper fishing, lost it at the boat, landed a fat 20" striper and a small hp. I missed one nice grab. Saw lots of fish rolling but not a whole lot of steel. Saw one hp sitting in the arden area.

fished Sunday with nothing as well...... guy up river from me same thing ... top bottom middle water no fish to be had in the American River
