I've been invited to join a group on the Fall for a few days next week, but have very little experience on spring creeks (i.e., getting my tail kicked on Hat a couple time) and zero on the Fall. Being a mostly high stick/dry-dropper guy on freestones means that this will be a bit of a game changer for me. We'll have boats and probably guides, though as I'm basically tagging along I'd prefer not to be totally reliant on the guides for flies and such.
I'd appreciate any suggestions you all may have regarding flies, tactics and rods. Indicators? Swinging nymphs? Soft hackles? Dries? Thanks!
