$50 for all day catch and release? Might not be too bad a deal - the fish in there (today at least) looked full finned and feisty! Eating bugs off the top too. I could show those bait dunkers a think or two...

I did see a surprising thing tho...

I wonder what they'd charge (per pound) for this STURGEON!? Sorry for the poor quality - didn't have my polarizing filter on me.

Take a tub of grass shrimp next time...

Since they fleece the fishers by the pound, they're often very big. Up to 18" or more. Pretty small pond and often crowded especially on the weekends. Lots of people around the edge just looking.

I think on average if you fish to keep, you'll end up paying nearly $10 a fish. I've never done either catch and keep or release though it'd be fun.

The ponds up in Apple Hill are usually catch and keep, no releasing so you pay by the pound.

My wife was tempted to let my 5 year old fish there for the kindergarten field trip a couple weeks ago.

But he's a fish catching machine, and it would have wound up costing her a bundle.


Why does this remind me of the C&R fishing for Koi I saw happening in Shenzen earlier this year?

Took a look around Jenkinson Lake with my fish locator, 64 degrees, found some fish in 21ft. of water, no grabs.

We caught 2 apple strudels, and a apple turnover.

What no glazed apple donuts, it is almost a sin to go to Apple Hll and not bring back glazed apple donuts.
