Fished below town this AM and got ZIP. Then came back inside the city limits of Grants Pass and hooked 3 and landed 2 of 25” and 29.5”. Both wild fish. Though the big fish was a salmon and was putting pressure on to break him off when his chrome body came clear out of water. Both wild fish and one on an ice nymph and one of a egg pattern. My guess on the big fish right at ten pounds.

Hey Gordon,

Several years ago we (myself and fishing buddies) used your ice nymph a lot on the American river. Did quite well with them (short black shank hook, correct?).

Not sure why we stopped...guess I should bust out a few again.

The tail on the second fish is HUGE. What a clean specimen.

Thanks for the report.

Looks like a good year for the Rogue River.
