As the weather on the east coast cools in the fall the bait fish swim out of the shallows and head south for warmer weather.
This causes a wild feeding frenzy where the predators (birds, fish, anglers) follow these schools south and beat them up.
I think this happens on many coast lines. It happens in Central America too.
Stripers on the "blitz" in east coast surf.....why weren't we there?
