Darian,

I have a RIO Leviathan 600 gr I'm taking in October. If the tuna are down deep that's where this line will take you. Hopefully it won't be me or the captain- KNOCKED OUT !

I might be going to fish the delta next week for some video footage and still shots. My minor surgery is well and I'm moving around pretty good and even curling 30lb dumb bells getting in shape for the trip.

TUNA TUNA TUNA or DORADO DORADO !!!!!! Fresh fish taco's

Yep!!! 600 grains is a lot of line. I have a 600 grain shooting taper, already, but I kinda like those level heads for deep work. The cast is more of a lob than anything else.... If the Tuners are down deep I just lob the head out about 40' and strip off a bunch of backing. Then let the current carry it down to the fish. Of course, when they're on top, it's 10 or 12 weight time. :D :D

I wonder when someone can't even multiply 30 times 20 to get 600:rolleyes:....does any one wonder what test of core is used for this line? I certainly hope that Rio did not use 30#. Kind of takes it out of consideration for a serious big game line. LEW

Ya got me there Lou.... From Blanton's BB, the pound test of the mono core of T-20 is 40# (if I recall correctly.... ). :D

We will have it in a 30 foot coil with factory welded loops on both ends for $39.95 soon.

I guess if you Albright into those loops it should be pretty strong?

Question is does it sink any faster? I know that they have been trying to get the sink rate faster than 8-9 ips, but have not achieved that. I believe everything from T8 to T17 all sinks the same rate. I know heavier tips turn over small farm animals, but in my beliefs T11 turns over the biggest of flies for steelheading. My T14 is getting cobwebs on it since T11 came about, much more enjoyable to cast too. So does it have a faster sink rate?
