Motivated by Mikes flower post and by a fishing trip to Woods Lake with Scott my wife and I took a quick trip to the Carson pass area near frog lake and I was amazed at the late spring beauty up there. I will try and id where I can but I thought you might enjoy these and maybe get up there while you can.:)

I think you meant to say 8000'? Anyway, we had a lot of those growing around our cabin at 7000'. They're called " Pussy Paws". My wife liked them too.
