I was up in the Bitterroot Valley in MT the last week visiting family (and doing some fishing too). Wade fished the East Fork three days and the floated the West Fork one day. Our guide on the West Fork mentioned this story so I looked it up when I got home.
It was initially thought to be a Rainbow but genetic analysis ID'd it as a six year old Cuttbow.
"Adams said fishing buddies thought it was a carp when they pulled it from the Snake River into their boat on Monday."
