View Full Version : New category? "Ride Share/Buddy System"?

We have been thinking of adding a new category to our message board.

It is to help people find a fishing partner so they can share the cost of a trip and to get someone to fish with too.

We also have new comers to the sport who would really benefit from fishing with someone who already has experience.

Need more ideas for the name....

What a great idea Bill, it's green, and gives anglers an opportunity to not only share the cost of traveling but sharing the world of fly fishing together. This is SO positive. As far as a name….hmmmm…..”Rides & Casts”?

I’ll pitch in where I can with mentoring for novices. The list of mentors who offered me a hand up when I was getting started is long indeed.

That sounds just great! I'd suggest "hooking up" but then again that might really draw some interest from the "wrong crowd" on the internet...
Anyways, personally I wouldn't really care what you called it; I think that would be a great resource for a lot of folks. I call it cool,

Taking it to the next level, I love it!

1) Invite a newcomer
2) Drop off and Pick up float down river
3) Incase of accident, good to have a partner
4) Save Fuel and cut expenses
5) Undivided attention to convert your new fishing partner over to your favorite Pyrimid sceme or Religious beliefs :p

I was one of those asking about teaming up with others to fish. I will be posting my free time and areas I am interested in fishing. All in the interest to meet and team up with others. I like streams, lakes, and trout, and bass. I will hike and camp for fish given the opportunity. I hope others will share their areas of interest too.
