Aaron Stiny and I had a meeting today in Napa with our Simms Rep, John Sherman, to look at the 2012 product line.
John arranged for us to fish a few hours early on with Nor Cal/Southern OR guide Jim Andras. We fished an incoming tide with some small fish showing occasionally. It was really neat to finally fish the Napa River just downstream from down town Napa.
We had some smaller fish on but nothing of any size. Jim said that his favorite window for that area for Stripers is August through April so we were not there at prime time.
We did see lots of bird life plus a little dark mink along a rocky shore line.

On the way home we stopped at "Guns, Fishing and other Stuff" off Hwy 80 in Vacaville.
They have a full on fishing and hunting store with live bait as well.
They have lots of guns and lots of conventional fishing tackle with a small selection of fly fishing gear.
They have an impressive inventory.
