We just learned about this 'state of the art' completely custom van conversions.
They are built on Mercedes 'Sprinter' diesel van chassis.
I think there is a 6 month waiting list to get yours built....

I think they are very expensive but the quality is supposed to unreal....

That has been on my list as well. The first time I saw one was back in 1999 on Monitor pass when I was doing the Death ride. The base price for the Ford diesel model is $70K .Check out the ones made by Quigley, still like the Ford with the sportsmobile package better. Someday!

I've looked at the Outside Van and Sportsmobile conversions. For my use, the Outside Van conversion is the winner. Clean design, excellent workmanship, and good construction materials make it a winner. Not inexpensive though.
Here is my Sprinter, still basically in unconverted cargo van mode. Its a good vehicle for fishing trips. Comfortable to drive, great turning radius and good fuel mileage at around 20 mpg. Not so good for off-road use due to lack of 4/all wheel drive and limited ground clearance.
