I am planning to stop by Kiene's to pick up some of Jay's crab and roughy patterns for southern Or. coast. Anything else I should buy?

Say hey G,
Bandon has some great surf opportunities. There's also excellent rocky shore and surge pool habitat to explore as a well.
I'd be sure to have a fast sinking line (slow sinking as a backup). The hydraulics could have a heavy impact. I'd also be sure to use #4 and even #2 patterns. Heck you can't head up there without using one of John Shewey's classic surf flies... "Surfpercher Red." It's a very simple construction. If you don't tie maybe you can ask Andy at Kiene's shop to make you a few?
I've had epic days with John around Bandon. Have a great trip bud! Stay safe out there.
Cheers, Ken
