Had a day off, so despite the sketchy weather forecast, I decided to go scouting up the hill off of Highway 50. Heard so many conflicting reports of road closed - road open, blown out - not blown out, etc. that I thought I'd see for myself. The South Fork is roaring, but the smaller tributaries are actually in pretty good shape. A little high, but very clear. Hiked the tube in to a lake I haven't been to in years, and was not disappointed. Weather was windy and overcast, but nothing like what I came back to when I hit the valley. Must be some kind of record for June 28.

Find someplace fishable and go now!

Great report! I was hoping to hear some good news about that area. I am very familiar with that lake. Glad to see it is still home to Mr. Brown and his family.
