Truckee River

i just got into fly fishing last year and have mainly fished the American and want to venture out to the Truckee to try my hand at some browns, only thing not sure where to go. Anyone willing to pm me with some areas i can get started on?

A few more days & conditions on the BT above Prosser Creek inflow will be manageable for SAFE wading. The last fours days there has been a descending trend line of peak flows along West River street....good news. We all hope this trend continues; marking the official down-side of the enormous snow-melt we've experienced this year.

The current issue of Sierra Fisherman magazine is on-line at www.sierrafisherman.com with an article entitled The Big Truckee...Mid-Year to New Year" appearing on page 14.
