Was up hwy. 88 scouting, looks like late fishing.

Red, Caples, Silver Lakes still iced over.

Streams are blown out.

Possiblity of a few fish on the West Carson, still a little high..

Its gonna be a late year here in the sierra's for sure. I hear the creek inlet at caples is thawed. But the rivers are gonna be ragin up here w/ all the rapid snow melt. Thats why we are headed out to pyramid thurs morn :)

I'm going to work Union Valley for a few weeks for Kokanee and Bows, although I got a report from a friend last week that Bear River Reservoir up by Caples was smoking hot, five Browns over 5 or 6 pounds. Several Macs over 18.

I've been thinking about running up to Lower Bear River Res. Anyone have the skinny on flyfishing it from a tube/pontoon.
