List of CA state parks to be closed in 2011

The state has been bankrupt for decades so this won't stop till it's all gone.

Eventually many more will be leaving this once "Great State" of ours.

Once it is like a third world country it might eventually go back to Mexico anyway.

What do you think will stop this trend?

I think there needs to be some sort of seperate budgeting to get them out of the hands of politicians.

I'm not sure it's possible but I'd like to see some sort of independent non-affiliated trust whose sole intent is to keep the lands open and available regardless of other gov't budget issues.

We, the voters, had a chance to save all of our state parks by approving an $18 a year increase in our vehicle registration fees, but it failed to pass last November.Pretty sad if you ask me.
