The group had an excellent day of fishing, first off no wind, bait much closer (La Ventana) and very little boat traffic. I'm wondering where all the boat traffic is at. Usually this time of year, there's a lot of boats on the water ( a lot is 50 boats, max).
One boat with Richard Wright and Steve Reem boated some big roosters. I think Steve and a couple small one's and one that boga'd 30+ pounds on a IGFA boga. Richard had a couple smaller roosters and one close to what Steve had but smaller so he didn't weigh it. Then he hooked into an a$$ kicker that dropped the 60lb boga past the numbers, estimated around 70+ pounds. GREAT FISH
Another boat with Larry Kenney (recognize the name)and his boat partner Jeff boated some big roosters also. After a long fish, Larry lost a pretty big rooster, the fly fell out of the mouth. I hope to get some photo's of these fish to post on the board.
No report from my other boat, yet

Tomorrow I'm staying back again to finish up the short video so I can get something on Vimeo. I will be out on Friday, maybe fishing from my own boat or shooting video on Larry and Jeff. But I'll be fishing the next couple weeks

Could my retirement rooster (100lbs) be swimming the waters of Punta Arena, time will tell.

Damn, I love my job - wish you were here

Update, Steve told me the rooster was around 23 to 25 and not 30lbs. I thought I'd heard a 30lb fish but I'd just woke up from my nap. It's great to take a day off every now and then.I'll be on the water tomorrow shooting more video.
We tried last night to down load Richards photo's into my Mac but the camera couldn't read the card. I had a card reader but some one took it home with them, I guess.
The wind is blowing pretty hard in La Paz but the wind chart from La Ventana show "0" wind right now and Baja Joe's web cam live shows glassy conditions. I'll bet they are into the fish.
If I was out there, I'd do time at the north end of the island looking for a few dorado and then head to the beach. I think everyone is drifting the beach.
I'll find out more this afternoon

WOW!!! Great photo's. What a beautiful Rooster. :D Looks like water temps are still cool as you've got a nice Hamachi there. Did it make the table for dinner
