The Lower Sacramento is truly an awesome fishery. The river is fishing extremely well with all indications that it will continue. We have had double digit days on the water, with 15-20 fish being landed. That is not including all the long line releases. Fish are healthy, strong and eating flies. Golden Stones, spring caddis, and PMD’s are popping off the water. And some fish, are keying on egg patterns and big stone patterns. Beautiful weather, scenery, and good fishing generate memorable days on the Lower Sac.
Come fish a truly legendary river.

The 8-10 hour drift includes all equipment, riverside style lunch, snacks, and beverages.

The “Hex Hatch is Coming”, Lake Almanor and Butt Valley Reservoir will soon be the scene for this great mayfly hatch. These very large fish can easily be taken on a fly during one of the most prolific Hexagenia Mayfly hatches on the West Coast. The Hexagenia in a word is “Perfect”. This huge mayfly energizes the fish at both lakes. It basically kicks off the summer for these lakes. If you folks have never seen the “Hex Hatch” in full action you are sorely missing out. Big fish and incredible scenery is the rule on these lakes. Fish reaching into the 6 pound range are often landed.
Guided trips start at 3:00pm in the afternoon and last until dark. All equipment, snacks, and beverages are included. Cost is $185.00 per angler maximum of two anglers per trip.
Dates – June 20 - 28
