Anyone fish Junction reservoir on the trail to Kirman. I have only seen it on a map and not in person.

No fishing allowed. DFG's broodstock lake for Kamloops rainbows. There are some giants in there too.

That is what I thought Jay, thanks.

Shig I like going the wrong way, besides it was Ed and Phils fault.

...you say you can't fish it?

Wish I'd have known that before I put my boat in. :D

Important note, need real full lock front to back, side to side 4 wheel drive, not partial. You can easily get a truck stuck. Water lowers and you will be pulling out of mud.

I think your talking about a different Junction Lake. You can't drive into Junction Lake on the way to Kirman and the signage makes it very clear that you can't fish it.

NOOB here. Just found Junction a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful! Any hints on what a noob should use in there?

Thanks.

Seeing your Junction lake comment, I take it you've been up to Kirman?

How was the fishing this year for you?

It was a slow weekend, out of my group is was the only one to catch a fish, 18" brookie. I heard the fishing was better 2 weeks prior to when I went last month.

I have always heard that Kirman Lake is always best very early in the season and very late.

Andy Guibord like to get in there very early in the day too.

Do what I do at just about any lake with trout. Go in with a floater, inter, and a type III/IV. Standard Adams, callibaetis, gnat/midge dries, buggers/leeches in black/olive/brown/burnt orange, and some hare's ear/PT/midges.

Can't really go wrong.
