Sorry it's not fly fishing, but note and photo worthy none the less. I caught these two beauties last Sunday. TFO Light spinning outfit and bail-less Penn 716, with 4# Gamma, and either a Wooley Hawgtail or a Game Hawg. Yes, I guess I crossed over to the "dark" side, but it sure is fun. BC is gin clear, and some of the most technical fishing you will ever encounter!

I hooked her, but she ran under a slab and broke me off! Probably 3 inches longer and another pound or so. All three were hooked in the same pool, sight casting!

Nice fish, and I do not care what anyone says, conventional gear is not the dark side. There are times that conventional gear is the only way to fish, it is not often, but there are times when it is needed.

Hey Coolrivertex, since you're in a totally different part of the country how 'bout a few pics of the creek and surrounding environs. It's kind of like 'the rest of the story' for us for us left coasters.

Those are some bad-assed bass. Now get 'em on a fly.
