Baum is fishing very well currently. I fished with Phil Chauvin of Sacramento last Saturday from float tubes. Most cast into the channel netted a (newly stocked) brown on a black hale bop (16-18 I think) (type III or IV sink), or if you are lucky and it's over cast, the BWO hatch will go off and you can do pretty well with dries. I think Phil also picked one up on a caddis pattern. The water is chilly, and there were quite a few folks about, so not ideal. I'm not a big lake guy myself normally, but it felt great to feel some fish at the end of a line! If you need an early season fix, this place should do it.
