Looks like the weekend of the 18th is going to be a zoo...another club member with a boat and I are giving 4 other members a ride down the river on Saturday...I hope the weather holds so the Caddis stay active...otherwise it's going to be them tiny Baetis (!@#$%^&*!)under overcast skies!

What a difference a day (or a few) makes. Flows were 3900, now pushing 17K. Anyone up there know what the river looks like? I was planning to come up Friday, but it's pushing the limits of sane fishing...

the river will be fishable and clear, but who knows what the trout will have on their mind. think eggs, stones, and attractors.

I don't care what you say, Shane's the best.
Seriously, a bad day with Shane is when I don't hook up on the first cast.

Darrin,

With an overnight 300% increase in flows, even if the water is clear, how long will it take for the fish and bugs to get accustomed to the flow?

At 16K, I'd guess that the fish are going to be on the edges, looking for anything that comes by.

Check those flows again, looks like the Sac at big bend is 33K... I'm thinking that might put a hurt on the fishing for a bit.

Release from keswick is 15k, cottonwood creek is at 6k, and cow creek it at 14k. The river will be fishable to cow creek.

Scratch that again...25k release from keswick by 3PM today.

That should fill up the lagoon and make taking out at Sac RV Park a little easier.

41,000 cfs this morning on the Lower Sac...wake me when the flows go below 15K again!
