Just tonight my dad and I watched an episode of Hooked On Fly Fishing on Sportsmans Channel... and he said -- would you like to fish there ?

I was all.. Of course! But I need some more info.

Any of you guys been ? Good links ? Good lodges ? Any help would be nice.

Thanks kindly. Brian

Brian:
Read -- Mist on the River : An Angler's Quest for Steelhead -- by Michael Checcio(?)
He describes his trip to the Skeena area. The first part of the book actually features
the Smith River on our north coast. Being a writer, he linked up with a publishing
company which gave him some contacts up there. Most of his fishing was DIY, although
he does name quite a few of the lodges and guides.
You and your Dad would have a great time.

Just my 2 cents... it turned out to be a "million dollars" in experiences with amazing rivers in their various moods, multiple anadromous species and dreams of the future that crowd my head every night!
Dustin Kovacvich, with the help of Chad Black and dedicated and talented guides, has developed an exceptional year round program of fishing in northern BC. I should know- I'll be returning for my tenth and eleventh trips organized by them this coming summer.
I am fairly discriminating about my fishing experiences and have landed Atlantic salmon to 32 pounds on the Gaspe peninsula, sea-run browns to 17-18 pounds in Tierra del Fuego, and thanks to Nicholas Dean, some very memorable steelhead which range from 11- 15 1/2 pounds on so many rivers it is difficult to keep track.

You and your Dad have ignited a flame that deserves fruition- get up to northern BC and experience it! I guarantee if you arrange your trip through Dustin and Chad, you will be shown the ultimate northern BC experience, conditions permitting...

We here at Kiene's Fly Shop second Don's recommendation of the Nicholas Dean Lodge near Terrace, British Columbia.

Got your IM just now mickel.. thanks for the info.

That water looked tremendous.. fast like I like it and holding plenty of fish.

Booking a trip requires a bit more .... lots to choose from.
