Our staff member Bill Carnazzo landed a nice adult fish he said was 7-8 pounds on his Spey rod yesterday. Photo to come...

Rich Plath caught a fish yesterday that was around 5 pounds on his two-hander swinging egg imitations.

Both were in the upper reaches.....

In the past February has been a big month for winter runs in the American River.

Go now..............flow is 2,600 cfs which is prefect. Still need to be careful though....

Yes, there are.

We caught a bunch yesterday.

Don't fish on the redds people.

Amen on that one!

Stay away from the redds and your reward will be brighter, heartier fish at the end of your line and a good feeling inside knowing that you're letting nature do her thing unmolested as you honestly work for your fish~:)
