maiden voyage

We finally got some open water , so took my new Yamaha G3 1442 out for a spin .The 8 hp 2 stroke ( i love 2 strokes , light and peppy ) did great . It got me on plane very fast . Its been a while since i had a boat and it was a lot of fun . Who care if i get ducks or fish !! :) The boat was very easy to unload , even in shallow water , i just slid it off into the water , then winched it back on latter . I though i might need to lengthen the trailer but it worked great .

I need to make a head mount for the camera . I used the Kodak play sport again .

Yes , i made them out of cardboard .

I plan on putting this little boat to good use , duck hunting , fly fishing and fishing for channel cats in the bear river channel here in Cache Valley .

Its been while since i owned a boat . Last one was a 10'' Livingston but never could get it to plain and it had a 10hp 2 stroke . It was heaver and stable , BUT not the best hull design IMO .

I bought a used trailer , I overhauled the trailer , new lites , paint, tires , wood and carpet . Can't even tell the trailer was used now . Whats nice about Utah , is you don't have to even license a one axle light trailer . :)

My wife loved the paint job too . I was amazed she even noticed . She came home from work , walked in the door and said NICE PAINT JOB . I stood there speechless !! LOL

Kinda embarrassed about the video though . I have bad head aches 24/7 ( for the last year now ) and the doctors don't know why . so i loose my train of though a lot and go blank . 2 hours of sleep or none each night , sure doesn't help . Not sure if its neck related , as i have one disk thats gone ( wore out ) and three bone spurs , also same thing in my lower back . When my neck really hurts , the head aches get worse and really really bad and almost Unbearable . I though this boat would be nice so i can get out and hunt and fish with out walking much .
