Pyramid 1-22-11

First off I just wanted to say hey, as this is my first report here. Very cool site.

Anywhooo i have been fishing up at Pyramid for the last 4+ years from shore.
For the last year I have been trying to get a old coworker to join in the big fish and last weekend it finally happened.

We arrived just before daylight, at Blockhouse. My friend Joe made his first cast as i walked by and I told him to do the slow tug, pause and reel, repeat.
As I walked 10' further, Joe calls out Fish on! First cast, first fish, the rookie nails a nice 18"

As the sun crested the eastern ridge line, Joe continued to get some more

At blockhouse you don't need to wade, it drops off quickly.

I saw in a thread last week someone was asking about where to buy permits, besides the on-line from the tribe, the last 7-11 on the west side has all the permits, if you show up late night for camping or before the sun comes up. Plus it usually has the cheapest gas.

Is anyone planning on the tourny this year?
