Hi guys. I have used a few 11ft foot rods from the past and they were all pretty much weird to cast.. are the new ones that much better for the money ?
I did have a 13ft 10wt at one time with was a chore with my 11wt line.

Is there such a thing as a real 12ft 6wt ?? on the cheap ?

thanks kindly, Brian

I think you'll find that the advancement in light rods and lines will make double handers much more comfortable for you this time around. Skagit and skandi lines are very easy and functional to cast and fish with.

An Echo Solo 12'6" #6 is a heck of a nice rod for reasonably 'cheap'.

After 11 feet you want to be casting with two hands......Spey casting.
