Fly Shop in Placerville Closed

The Off the Hook Fly Shop in Placereville closed at the end of the year. Unfortunate to hear about another local and friendly fly shop gone.

I believe that they moved to Citrus Heights. 6720 #E Van Maren Lane. Its too bad, closest thing to a local shop that I had, and the only real shop on the way for any of my trips that took me up 50. I had nothing but good experiences with Off The Hook Fly Shop, and the owner always went out of his way to help me out, with advice and prices. Hope the move works out!

Small, but cool place. He gave me a great deal on some wood duck feathers once. Mosquito Outfitters fight have killed em, though I've never been in there myself.

I just heard back from Frank Seifert, owner of Off the Hook Fly Shop that the business moved to 6720 #E Van Maren Lane Citrus Heights Ca. This is near the corner of Auburn Blvd and Van Maren Lane. The web site is also still open for your fly fishing needs.
