Fished the Little Truckee over the Holidays. Cloudy day with noone on the river. Mid day BWO hatch had the fish rising. I ended up landing 8 fish. 1/2 on a #18 Quiggly style BWO Cripple the rest on a #20 BWO micro may dropper. 6X tippet. All in all it was worth the effort and a nice change from skiing for the day.

It was so good I went back the next day. Completely different weather. Sunny and cold and no hatch what so ever. Only one fish to hand that day.
Unfortunately access is now limited by snow. So bring your snowshoes, skis or snow machine. Tight lines and Happy New Year.
