The Trout Unlimited Annual Wild Steelhead Festival will be held in Healdsburg on Friday evening Febuary 11th and all day Saturday February 12th.

Here's the link: http://healdsburgsteelheadfest.org/default.aspx

This Festival is all about bringing the steelhead back to the Russian. All money raised goes for educating the kids about steelhead. Fishing camps for kids, 'Steelhead in the Classroom' for kids, and connecting kids to the outdoors.

Lani Waller will be the speaker at the dinner Friday night, and lots of fun for the kids and grown ups on Saturday at the Healdsburg Plaza in the middle of downtown. Kids trout pond, kids flycasting lessons, huge tank trailer with steelhead for viewing, booths, food, wine, and more. If your kids have never seen a BIG steelhead from the Russian River alive and up close, best bring 'em. These brusers are trucked over from the Warm Springs Hatchery for the Festival. They are newly arrived spawners and spectacular to see. Last year there were a few Bucks that were pushing 20 pounds.
